Deco 969 has reached the halfway point in it's construction with work now ongoing on floors 13/14 of 27 total.

The project is the tallest ever purpose-built multifamily tower ever in Fort Worth and will be among the ten tallest buildings in the city when complete, set to stand at 314 feet. Deco 969, named for its address at 969 Commerce St, is being Nashville-based Southern Land Company. The tower has 9 levels of parking and 18 levels of residential floors with 300 units. The is located just one block from the city's primary transit hub, Fort Worth Central Station.

The tower is being built on what was an XTO surface parking lot. XTO sold the land after departing Fort Worth for the Exxon campus in the Woodlands in 2017. The tower will have approximately 8,000 sqft of restaurant/retail space on the ground floor facing Commerce Street. The tower is expected to open in mid-2023.
